Can someone explain "Triple Roll" socks to me?

I don't get it. Why would a toddler need triple roll socks? Boots maybe? I have no other explaination. I just want simple fold-over socks for Abby. I think GAP must be in the process of redoing theirs because they don't have the kind we got before and everything else is on clearance. I hate the way TCP ones wash up. ON is also no longer selling a kind we liked before =(.

The cheapie ones at Target don't fit Abby's feet right. Any other suggestions?

  • Have you tried the outlet mall? We like Stride Rite's sock (you can usually get them at Marshall's) or Gymboree socks

  • I think your talking about regular old plain bobby socks. Walmart has them.  They have them with ruffles and without ruffles.

  • they're inexplicable and i believe a holdover from the 80's.  :-)

Unfortunately, I still haven't found any socks i like aside from the GAP ones that are shorter and they now apparently only come in 6-12 months.

  • Macy's has good bobby socks. I usually never shop for the girls there but was looking for a shower gift and walked by their kid department.  The price wasn't any higher than Target and they fit better and have much cuter designs.
  • Puma thin socks have worked really well for DS. They don't come off, not rolling necessary and he can put them on (and off) himself. You can find them at the puma outlet or marshall's or ross type places.
  • My three-year-old loves them.  He pulls them up to his knees and rocks the look.  From seeing other kids at his school, this seems to be a pretty common phenomenon, particularly among the boys...
