CPW: Date night

DH and I are starting up "date nights", now that this new job lets him off at 6 PM.  Just wondering what everyone else does!

    Between our work schedules and our schedule with DH's DD (we have her 1/2 of the time) we don't get many nights to ourselves.  But, when we do, we try to do something special!

    I love official date nights! 

    One thing my DH does sometimes is put out several bags.  Ex: Bag 1 - several restaurant options, Bag 2 - several movie options & Bag 3 - several options of places to go for dessert.  I get to reach in each bag and pull out what we are doing.  We're dorks, but it makes it fun.

    In saving money for the baby, and me working from home and making less money, we have kind of given up going out to eat regularly. DH prefers eating at home and watching a movie or TV from home anyway. I could go either way.

    We have an un-official date night every Friday. We usually go to dinner because no one feels like cooking after the week!

    I went SS because we want to, and we do when we can but our schedule makes it pretty sporadic.

    I love this idea!  We can never decide where to eat and there's a lot of "No, you decide" that goes back and forth.  Maybe I'll do this, but with coupons.  I'm all about a good deal.

    I said sort of.  We don't always have a lot of chances to go out just the two of us, but we do try to make one on one time.  Sometimes it's as simple as turning off the TV and snuggling on the couch together and talking.

    We don't go out every weekend, but at least once a month for an actual "date".  By that I mean, go to a nice restaurant, have wine, dinner, dessert.  Every weekend we do "something" though - order pizza and rent a movie, go out to eat somewhere casual, go have a drink, go to a movie, even run errands together and grab lunch.  We have lots of "together" time - we even grocery shop together.

    With DH still in school and trying to save money, we don't really go out as much as we use to. But we try to have dinner together everynight that hes not at school, and we have certain tv series we watch together on the couch. So for us as long as were spending time together its date night!
