Vent: craiglist sale is painful

I'm trying to buy off an ad and this guy just seems to drag his feet like he doesn't really want to sell.  I've even given him the out that if he was having 2nd thoughts but then he says let's meet tomorrow.  Then he doesn't reply or call to set it up for real.  I really shoudn't have to work so hard as the buyer and am just frustrated.  Just needed to vent.

    I know sometimes Craigs List is a pain! Just make sure if you meet tomorrow, you are not by yourself ok :)

    I've had a heck of a time with Craigs List.  People seem to fall into 3 categories, flakes, dumb, and the rest of us who want to buy/sell stuff.

    Craigslist is hard - we buy and sell a lot on it.

     

    I would just give up on him - sounds like he is really irresponsible - unless it's something you really want.

     

    And yes - DO NOT go alone and definitely meet in a public area

    yea. I was trying to coordinate DH to pick up, but he's impossible.  Luckily the same thing came up for sale today by someone else and I got her down in price and I'm getting it today at lunch.

    way to go - you should email back that other guy and tell him you found it through someone else.

    yea - there's gotta be something behind his stalling like maybe financial troubles and they feel bad selling their kids stuff or something.  In fact the girl I did buy it from had a for sale sign on her house.
