Follie and ER question

I have envy of the 41 follies since I only have 5. They range from 16 to 11 in size and the RE seems somewhat hopeful since my egg reserve was at .2! For those of you who have been through this, they are expecting me to have my ER on Saturday. I don't know what to expect... So my questions are, what are the chances that there are eggs in each follie? What should i expect of the ER process? Go MrsRumpt.... So impressed with your follies! Thanks for your advice!

    I don't have any statistics for you--just wanted to say good luck!

    ER is pretty uneventful--you will most likely have general anesthesia.  I personally didn't have any spotting or pain afterwards.

    If you are doing the ER under twilight anesthesia, it is pretty easy.

    I am also DOR and do not produce many follies, but it only takes one.

    it only takes one, remember quality over quality.  both of my clinics (cornell and sirm) strive for between 10 and 15 eggs. 

    and from my experience when people have lots and lots of follies many of the eggs aren't mature

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

    I was on max dose stims and had 5 follies on Saturday..  I went in for my ER on Monday.  They got all 5 and all 5 Fertilized! Waiting for day 2 stats now.

    My RE mentioned using a special needle for "people in your situation" meaning those who don't have a lot to work with.  It does somehting like flushes the follicles a few times to make sure they get everyting they can.  Gppd luck!

    Hopefully by Saturday the lower ones will catch up the biggest.  My RE changed my dosages so we could get the others to catch up and it worked for most of them.  The two smallest did not catch up.  We had 12 out of 14 with 7 fertilizing.  Only two made it.  I've seen girls with only 4 or 5 with all or most fertilizing and it working so quality over quantity REALLY does matter.  Good luck to you, the ER was a breeze we even did breakfest afterwards.

    I had 30 follie at my last u/s before ER-and they only got 13 mature follies.  So even though I had a lot of follies-I MUCH would have rather had less follies and more mature eggs!
