I know that many mommies to be have asked a trillion questions about these but here I go lol. I thought I had decided on the City Mini double, but then I was looking online the other day and saw the Maclaren Triumph and thought "well, that looks more compact". I have noticed however that a lot of the baby stores don't have this one in stock, which I thought was odd (and it inconvenient because I haven't seen it in person). Does anyone have any experience with this one? I have a Maclaren Volo that I love so I know the actual folding and stuff would be good, but is it too narrow? I know one thing I don't like is that the canopy because they're so small, but I can work around that by getting a bigger one and attaching it.
Re: Maclaren Double Stroller?
we tried out the mac double and didnt like it. the canopy was short, there were no snack trays for the kids and it seemed uncomfortable to move around as well as not comfortable for the kids to sit in. jmo though other girls here like it.
we chose the peg 60/40 and love it.
If I am not mistaken, I think this is the one that Dawn has.
We went and 'test drove' doubles the other day. It is hard for us to just go with any, as DH is so tall. I love and he was really comfortable with the city mini double. I wasn't able to get Spencer to sit in it, as it was much more exciting for him to run around the store. Hopefully soon! Good luck!

Eve- that was one of the ones we had looked at (online) but didn't pay attention to at the store. I'm kind of iffy about the snack trays because Abraham's peg perego doesn't have one right now, so I'm not sure how getting him in and out will be. Do you just slide M in there or does the snack tray clip on?
Gena- that was our problem. We sat him in the city mini for like 2 seconds and he was fighting us because he wanted to walk toward some toys he had seen in the store. I kept touching the seats though and they didn't seem THAT comfortable to me, but maybe it's just because they're not cushioned.
Back to the drawing board I guess:(
That's our biggest concern with the City Mini. Overall, it has amazing reviews, on here, on the Multiples board, and from the reps at the different stores I've visited. However I personally cannot get over the fact that the seats feel so "flimsy" (lack support).
For that reason, we are leaning towards getting the Bumbleride Indie Twin. It is a lot more expensive than the City Mini; however, when you start adding all the extras needed for the City Mini (bar, snack trays, support, etc) to make it equivalent to Bumbleride... the difference isn't that much.
I do love the compact-ness and how easy to fold the City Mini is!

the snack tray clips on and off or i can just slide mady on in there. its very easy to maneuver, i also ignored it at the store the first 20x we tested out double strollers. at the end it was the one.
