Making the first appt

When did you make your first appt? Immediately after your BFP or did you wait? I just got my BFP yesterday, and I POAS again today - the line was darker but still faint. I'm still in denial that I'm actually KU, and I'm not technically "late" until Friday or Saturday. Plus, we are new to the area, so I need to find a new OB. I'm thinking I'll call tomorrow after I confirm with a digital? Or should I wait until next week when I'm actually late for AF? TIA mommas!

A +HPT is a +HPT regardless of whether you are late. No harm in calling today if you want. But it's not 100% necessary either.

I just made my appointment today. The first available was 11/3.... so I have a ways to go before I go in.

Congrats on your BFP. I called to schedule my appt and they scheduled it for 11/05. I did go in to see the Dr's Asst and did b/w to confirm pg and check beta & progesterone levels.

Better to call early because some OB's are really booked. They probably won't be able to see you for several weeks anyways.

Congratulations! I got my BFP yesterday and just called my doc today. Some places will want you to wait to come in, I know, but mine was ok setting me up right away. I was surprised, and almost wondered if I should have pushed it back so that there would be a chance of hearing a heartbeat...

I made it right away. The original first appt. was for 10/18, so when I will be around 6 1/2 weeks. However, I went in last night because they were concerned about cramping and took blood. I am going back Friday for more blood to be drawn, then have another appt on 10/13. They usually don't see people until at least 6 weeks, but since I was a "nervous new mom" they wanted to give me some peace of mind by letting me come in.

Mine made me wait til 7wks last time for the first appointment so I just called a little bit ago and I've known for five days. It's up to you, but just know that depending on the office they can be pretty busy and take a bit to get you in so whenever you choose who you want, make sure to give a call. I called right after I got my BFP and have the first appointment for 10/28. I went in last week just to confirm my pregnancy with the nurse practitioner.

I'm a nervous new mom too! Maybe I should have told them that haha. I hope everything turns out OK with the b/w! I'm sure it will Smile
