Email from BRU - discontinued????

Hi,

I got an email from Babies R Us that the carseat on my registry, the Britax Marathon Convertible Car Seat - Platinum, has been discontinued.

Does any one know anything about this? Did Britax discontinue it, or did BRU? Was it recalled?

Do you know more info, or know where I can find more info?

The car seat was not recalled. Britax just came out with the Next Generation car seats and the Marathon was discontinued. Check out the Britax website for more information.

The Marathon was NOT discontinued- it's just that they came out with a newly remodeled Marathon (higher weight limit). Basically they aren't making the Marathon that you picked out and will be selling off the stock that that they currently have- they probably have sold out of your pattern. Now is a great time to get a deal on one of those discontinued models, but if it were me I'd just register for one of the new ones.

No recall, but this particular model has been discontinued by Britax. They recently redesigned all their convertible car seats. Here's the link to the next generation Marathon seat from the Britax website https://www.britaxusa.com/car-seats/marathon-70

i received the same email about another stroller today, and it really was just that stroller in a special color(which i didn't like anyway.) just check out the site

You may have registered for a 2009 model, and they recently released their 2010 models, which are more compact than previously.
