awkward but good RE appointment

so the personal update first (and I promise, last pg related update on ttcal+6) - the placement u/s was all good. and no, Colinda, it's not triplets. it's one little sac all by itself. I go back in two weeks to hopefully see something.and to all the naysayers that say you can't feel O'ing - I knew it was my right side (they id'd the corpus luteum during u/s). . .

now the awkward: so as the door to the exam room is opening, my RE is all loud "this is great M, Congratulations - it may have happened the old fashion way, but I'm still taking credit! har har har!" and standing right there to check out is a friend (sorta distant friend-we have a mutual BFF but we're not BFFs if you know what I mean). of course she heard everything. of course it is awkward as can be. She had a loss at 29 weeks a few years ago, and recently a 12 week loss. So we walk to the parking lot together talking about the struggles and problems. and while it was good for us both to vent (she knew I was in her mindset too when I said I wanted punch out the woman in the waiting room who brought her 2 year old to the RE's office. now, I know you may not have child care, but this is an office full of infertile-esque people who don't need a child rubbed in their face) - but I still felt terrible that she had to hear my doc all happy-jack. argh.

 

m/c#1 07/16/08 (11 weeks), m/c#2 10/10/08 (8 weeks). and then nothing since except every test possible (no answers). IUI#1 and #2: BFNs Super lucky to be buddies with Peetie. Our out of nowhere, surprise DD born 5/29/2011

    I'm sure your friend very much understands, and I hope she's in your shoes soon.

    Glad it's just one and it's in the right place :) Though triplets would've been fun. You could've name them Stacy, Tracy and Lacey.

    Screw everything else in your post, I'm just THRILLED you had a good u/s... seriously hon, it's almost weird how happy I am for you!!!!

    But wtf with the kid? I never understood why my RE's office showed kids videos and crap in the waiting room?!

    Yay for a great appt!!  I'm sure your friend will be alright & knows you would never have rubbed it in her face.
