Asking for a new pump for Christmas...which one?

I currently have the Lansinoh Double Electric pump. It works fine and since I borrowed it from my sister, you can't beat the price. But since I am essentially EPing now that I am back at work, I think I want to upgrade to something nicer. I am asking DH to buy that for me for Christmas. I pump 5 times a day and nurse DD on the weekends. So if you were asking, which pump would you buy?

  • Love my Medela freestyle: double pump, small, battery lasts a long time, so far, reliable...I do use a pumping bra and not the contraption that makes it handsfree

It is a bit loud, but I just put it under a pillow when watching TV...

  • I use the Medela pump in style (PISA); however, if I had it to do over I would get the handfree model that the previous poster uses.  I love my pump, but it's a bit bulky to use when out of the house.  It's not so bad that I feel I need to buy a new one though!
  • I have the Ameda Truly (or Purely) Yours and I love it.

  • I have the PISA and love it!  I use a hands free bra from handsfreepumpbra.com and it works great to get stuff done.  I occasionally use the PISA battery pack when I'm mobile or don't have a place to plug in, but I wouldn't rely on batteries all the time, it will burn through them if you do.  I also have the car adapter so I can pump on my commutes to and from work - highly recommend that thing :-)

  • I love my Ameda Purely Yours. I rented an Ameda Elite (hospital grade) for three months, and I get the same output with the PY as I did with the Elite. Plus, I love that it is a closed system (no milk in the tubing), so I can sell it or let a friend borrow it. It can run off of batteries or with an A/C adapter. You can even purchase the car adapter for it. I paid $205 for it on Amazon, and that included the tote bag, the cooler with ice packs, and 6 storage bottles.

I would say the freestyle too.  Although this poster thinks it's loud - def not as lound as the lansinoh double electric (I used to have one).  I don't use the handfree contraption either but don't really need it.  I love my freestyle - so small and I don't have to be connected to the wall when pumping.
