if you pierced DD's ears...

I know that some people are totally against it, but I'm considering it. I'm not looking for opinions on whether or not I should have it done...

If you have had your DD's ears pierced, where and when (time of day) did you go? Did ask your pedi about it first or just get it done? Any tips for having them pierced?

There is a local company called ears2u. They came to our house and did it on a Saturday afternoon. See if there's a similar business in your area. It was great! They were a wife and husband team, very professional, quick, nice, the works.

I used to work piercing ears so my best advice would be this: go someplace they have 2 staff people available to punch them both at the same time. It doesn't seem to hurt them, but the noise can be upsetting for LOs, so once they get the first one done they aren't always eager to have the second one done.

DD's pedi did hers. It took all of 5 seconds, we did it at 2.5 months and she was over it in 5 minutes. They didn't bother her at all after the initial piercing.

We pierced DD ears when she was three months at the pedi office. They just asked for a tetanus shot but that was it and it was in the afternoon. She did fine. Just take someone with you....I couldn't hold her head still or watch. I was a chicken!

We went piercing pagoda and she was almost 6 months old. One person did it and it was so quick. She cried for about 2 min and she doesn't even know they are there. They are so cute!
