Who makes the best socks? As it gets colder, we need to put socks on our son for day care. I have trouble finding socks that fit and that will stay on....any recommendations? My son is 5 1/2 months old.
We bought Hanes socks at Target. They are awesome! They stay on all day without sliding down at all and they didn't shrink in the wash like I've had problems in the past.

They have them on the Hanes website 2 - 6 packs for $12.

The Circo brand at Target has worked well for us (the ones with the short cuff--not the ones with the grippers). We fold them down at least once so they stay on better.
Everyone rants and raves about Gap socks. I just bought some and well, they're too big so they fall down. I actually found ones that fit great at my local drug store. Look for socks with elastic at the ankle that can be rolled down. Those ones seem to fit best.
Trumpette stay on great but if your baby is on the bigger side, they may be too tight around the ankle. I know Target has started to carry Trumpette Too which are a little more reasonably priced. They stay on just as well.
Re: Socks
I wish I knew. Carter's socks don't stay on at all. I've had better luck w Gymboree but they still don't stay on all that well.
I've heard good things about Trumpette (??) socks, but I think they may only be for girls??

Gap!
They are the only kind that stay on for us. Liam has pretty large feet.
Babysoy socks stay on pretty well. Ditto PPs regarding Gap socks.
