about food and labor. I can't find it now (of course), but it's not really C&P worthy. The girl went over to the Olive Garden to eat before she went in to L&D, or something like that. I thought it was funny because she refered to herself as a foodie and then went to the Olive Garden.
Clearly, there is a regional difference, because there is no way anyone here could use foodie and Olive Garden together and not get ridiculed. LOL.
Good for her though. I'd do the same thing, except not to the OG.
Re: I was clicking around and saw a post somewhere,
I don't get the love for Olive Garden. I've only been to one, and maybe it was a bad example, but it was actually gross. I love pasta, but theirs was trash.
Olive Garden is gross, and the fact that they have one in Times Square to me is appalling. WHO goes to OG in NYC? Stupid tourists.
Sorry, that was a random vent.
I do not like OG at all. I also thought it was gross. Except the breadsticks, good breadsticks.
We have no good Italian near me (within 10 minutes at least) and OG always has a 2 hour wait on the weekends. I don't get it.
While vacationing in Montana, we asked some locals if there was a good Italian place around. The man gave us a recommendation, and then said, "it's pretty good, but not as good as that place in Billings... what's that place called?.... oh yeah, the Olive Garden!" LMAO.

I agree. I was just home visiting and my parents wanted to go there. I told them I was not wasting a dinner out in my hometown on OG. I rarely go to any chain restaurant any more unless I want a burger at Five Guys.
Yeah, I always wonder about this in downtown Chicago too. A million amazing restaurants to choose from and still there are lines out the door at Chilis, Olive Garden, Hard Rock, Rainforest Cafe, etc.
I also think it's funny all the people who come to Chicago to shop on Michigan Avenue. Unless you are at the high end shopping for designer stuff, it's all the same stores you'd find in a normal mall. So essentially you just flew to Chicago to spend 10.25% sales tax at a Victoria's Secret. Ok.
Sorry, there's my random vent for the day.

Right???
My in laws are in love with the OG. I like the breadsticks and salad. Sometimes the soup is good.
Before going to L&D my BFF went to Buffalo Wild Wings. She regretted it hahahah.
Olive Garden is the McDonalds of Italian food.
When I was sent home in early labor they told me to have a light meal. So I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes and beans. And I had ice cream for dessert. Heh.
OMG. that is insane! Poor girl.
I have to scope out the places near the new hospital. The closest would be at South Street Seaport, but it has been forever since I have been there. I'm sure some things have changed.
LMAO.
I love the OG only for the breadsticks & the dipping sauce. But yea, it's fake Italian. Too funny.
When DH & I were in Times Square we were laughing that people actually eat there - with all the selections in NYC, people choose the OG. You can call me a snob, it's OK

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
I had a huge meal at Zios.. it was delish. I was glad since by the time I got to eat again it was 36 hours later
i have never and will never go there. Personally I hate chain resturants. Ill go to TGIFridays or Chilies if im with a group of people and thats what they want to do. There are plenty of amazing resturant that you can get a great meal at for the same price.
However I do love me some Benihana
Me neither. DH has never even been to one, and it won't be because of me that he ends up trying it, lol.
