TMI? re cervical position

How do you find it? What does it feel like? I kind of feel like I remember my OBGYN telling me before that I had a "tilted cervix" so maybe that is my problem...but I just can't seem to get a good read on how to determine cervical position. Any tips appreciated!

Re: TMI? re cervical position

  • I have a retroverted uterus, meaning my cervical opening is very anterior (to the front). I think I just felt it last cycle, it's very difficult for me to feel it. Try feeling more forward, see if that helps.

  • Sitting on the edge of the toilet seat can help make your cervix more accessible. I use my middle finger (since it's the longest) to reach all the way up there. Sometimes it can be really challenging, so that's when I know it's nice and high. When it's low, I hardly have to try to feel it.

  • I have a tilted uterus, I have to bear down or push to get my cervix to move forward. I do so while sitting on the toilet with my knees apart. My cervix is very smooth and feels like a golf or ping pong ball.
