Needs to be fresh and from what I've heard, you have to eat lots of it.. so I am guessing you should eat the whole thing. I'm going to try this tonight myself.. All the best to you! = )
Doesn't work. I ate a pineapple a day for about a month before DS was born at 41.5 weeks lol... that was a lot of pineapple... lucky for me it was a craving
spin, is there a reason that your provider won't let you go to 42 weeks? you don't have to be induced if you don't want to, unless there is a valid medical complication.

I can go to 42 weeks. But I don't want to take any chances. So I decided to start some of the natural methods now....and I think the baby is laughing at me.
I swear I ate one a day the week before Lily was born. I couldn't eat pineapple for 6 plus months after that. I still don't like it as much as I used to. Blah.
Anything is worth a try! lol I didn't know about the pineapple thing with my last pregnancy or I would have done it. I would have done anything to avoid an induction! Unfortunately, I was induced! Better luck this time.

I have one here that we bought a few days ago but I just dont see the logic behind a pineapple putting you in labour to actually try it for that reason but at least it wont hurt to try if you decide to do it right ?
do y'all really think that eating pineapple will put you in labor? Lol, nothing will work until your body is ready.
Ha Ha... This has been great for a good laugh! I tried it, I like pineapple anyways so I figured it was worth a shot. = ) My OB is also trying to push induction, even though I am standing my ground to refuse. I figured anything safe was worth a shot at this point.. Wishful thinking on the pineapple.. = )
Re: PINEAPPLE. What do you know?
Someone suggested eating a pineapple blizzard. I said "I don't think that counts!"
Good thing I love pineapple. Hope I don't end up with canker sores from the acid.
GL to you, too!
Lol, that's not an insult to me. i'm from FL, therefore i am a southerner and proud of it, ma'am.
is this your first baby? why not just wait and let baby come when baby is ready.
because I'm 40 weeks tmo and DON'T want to be medically induced.
The hair grows in thick where the horn used to be.
LOL. Thats exactly what happend to me! I ate a whole fresh pineapple & my tongue was covered with bumps! And no baby!
Best of luck!
