Do any of you use a lotion/moisturizer daily on your DC's skin? If so would you mind sharing?
DD has eczema, but we've never had any success with with lotion. However, the eczema + the fact that she needs to soak in bleach water 3 times a day for MRSA is seriously drying her skin out, which is just making it easier for the MRSA to get right back into her system. It's a vicious cycle and our pedi has recommended keeping her skin hydrated in spite of any eczema outbreaks until the MRSA is under control.
TIA
Re: Eczema moms...
Have you tried tea tree lotion??
I hope O is napping for you now
The only thing that has worked to clear up DD's eczema is Elocon ointment.
ETA: For myself, I have used Shikai Dry Skin Therapy which has borage oil in it. I get dry skin breakouts in the winter and this is the only thing that has helped.
I know you had mentioned the soap, but I didn't think about tea tree lotion. Would it be the same as tree tea oil lotion?
Yeah, right. My kid sleep? He's currently running around the house dressed in an old Cinderella costume. Hopefully, I can get him out of the dress before soccer...
I used Pine Tar Soap in the shower and then tea tree ointment and lotion when I got out when I had that bad rash. Supposedly, it's a "natural" remedy for eczema.
Halo Technical Comfort clothing really helps with eczema and sensitive skin. This is from their website:
