  • Since your other 3 kiddos are in school you should check out www.meetup.com or try to find some other mom's groups through gymboree or ymca to meet some mom friends! :) Good luck in your new town.

  • knitting, read a book, go for a long walk or bike ride, rent some movies or join a moms group. Thats what I would do at least

  • What about some aquafit classes that run in the afternoons?  That's what I have been doing lately.  Gives me something to do in the afternoons, plus there are other adults there to have conversations with.  Good luck!
  • I got a part time job over the summer (I am a teacher) and it was something I loved. I worked for a garden center. Maybe find a part-time job somewhere you would enjoy? BRU or a specialty boutique? Floral shop?

  • Try getting into gardening. It's a fun way to spend nap time and then you get flowers and fruit and veg most of the year. Kelowna is a great climate for a longer growing season too Big Smile You could also try looking to a "healthy begginings" or "Strong start" progam, it's a great way for you and baby to meet new moms.

Thanks for the great ideas... I think I just might start gardening.. .my dd loves to garden and so when she is home she could be a great helper :) also I just got a letter from the school with the starting dates of the strong start program so once baby is here that could be our little outing together

  • You could also volunteer at your kid's schools. When I was in kindergarten my mom to used to be a "helper" to the teacher with 2 other mom's once a week. You just come in and help with some of the activities. She did it all the way until I was in 5th grade. Believe it or not, I used to LOVE having my momma in the classroom with me =) Plus she met a lot of other mothers too.

  • I wish I could but my youngest is only in preschool 2 days a week( I wish it was more lol) and the teacher needs helpers on the exact opposite days :(
