I've become accustom to the, "you're huge!" "you're having twins!" comments from strangers but this one took the cake.
DH and I are at the check out in Target and the cashier asks when i'm due blah blah and then this gem came out:
Target Lady - *looks at DH* Are you the father?
DH - "Yes"
Target Lady - "Are you suuurrreee?"
*WTF look on my face*
DH - "Yes we have a very loving and trusting marriage, I know it's my child."
Target Lady - "Well you never know..."
WTF!!!!! I stood there in shock, DH thought it was funny...
Now I want to know from my fellow bumpies what is the most ridiculous insane out of line comment you've received!
Re: Most out of line/bizarre stranger comment post
::Jaw drops::
I'm almost at a loss for words. How rude!
THIS ISN'T THE BUMP, THIS IS SPARTA!!!
Wow!
I've gotten asked multiple times how much weight I've gained. Not sure why someone who didn't know what I looked like before would care!
I've also been asked, while carrying my daughter and wearing my wedding ring, if I was still with my baby's dad. Ummm, yes lol.
The winner is still my step-mother.
When we told her and my dad about the baby she asked, "Is this because we are moving back?"
To this day I wish I had said, "Yes, because we make our family planning decisions around YOU."
Aww lol! I love little kids and their reactions to pregnancy. My nephew (who is 5) thinks the baby is coming out of my belly button LOL
LOL!
Ugh!!!
Wow. Just wow.
I mean, we joke about it from time to time (as in, "If this baby isn't blue-eyed and blonde-haired, you'll have some serious explaining to to!") but that's with people we know....and WE are usually the ones who make that joke. I would never, ever DARE say something like that to someone else.
Wow again.
I had a lady at the store ask me if I wanted the baby and if it was planned.
My neighbor has a little boy and he is so cute . He asked me why my belly was so big and round hah His mom was embarrassed and I thought it was so funny .
Okay, that is CRAZY!!! I can see how you're miffed. She basically accused you of being a lying, cheating whore. I can't even imagine what this woman's train of thought was... I've only been obviously pregnant for a few weeks so haven't had stranger comments yet, will post if there are any good ones.
On a side note. When people ask DH if he's excited his response is "I'm waiting for the paternity test." He's a complete smarta$$ and likes to get a reaction from people. Saw a onesie that says "He thinks he's my daddy." I wouldn't dress my child in something like that, but it would be a pretty good gag gift.
What a bizarre comment!
I had some lady tell me that she thought my 2 1/2 year old would fit nicely in my belly. I laughed at the time and said yeah she is pretty tiny. But after thinking about it I was like wow...she is saying I am huge. LOL.
I also had someone in church ask me if I was sure it wasn't triplets. I am use to the twin comment, but really... triplets...
Some people just need to think before they speak.

I wasn't very good at wearing my rings all the time, and I got asked at WalMart if I was "still with the daddy".
I blankly stared at the woman and said "I don't know who the daddy is." Then walked away really fast. And almost peed my pants laughing later. Needless to say I wear my rings ALL THE TIME now.
Mine has to be from my MIL.
When we found out I was pregnant, we waited a couple weeks to tell her. So around 8 weeks, we informed everyone. At 20 weeks, MIL was at the house and while we were sitting in the kitchen, just the two of us, she literally asked me if I was positive the baby was H's! That still to this day bothers the hell out of me.
Most of the other comments I've gotten have been about how small I am. Especially when they ask how far along I am. I've gained 46 lbs. but keep getting told I don't eat enough or that I'm too small
A guy that I work with said to me, "Now it looks like you've got something going on down there."
I have since developed the philosophy that if someone makes a comment about my body I have the right to make a comment about theirs.
