Similac recall update

Since I only have enough liquid to last until Sat and the one can that Dani sent me of powder (ty again!) I figured that I should asess the situation. I called my local BRU and 2 drug stores. They have nothing in stock. I called Abbott and they are currently offerring that you can buy 1 case per household with free overnight shipping on their website for a limited time. Granted it's the cans and not the big plastic containers that I usually buy, but I'll take what I can get.

He was not able to give me any info as to when it will be available in stores again. Once I get this case in I should be stocked for at least another 3 weeks.

I hope that Meg & Nicole are hanging in there!

thanks Natalee I just ordered a case of the powder, we were starting to dwindle in supply. not worth trying to hunt down a store w/a supply. The price is kind of steep, but again, not worth the hunt.

Thanks for posting this Natalee. Nicole just texted me. I was telling her that I was in panic mode. I picked up 5 bottles of liquid this morning, but that won't last long. I am going to order online as soon as I get home.

It is expensive on there, but at least it's cheaper than buying the liquid. Either way, right now, I can't find either so it was my best option. From the sound of it, the powder isn't going to be available in the stores for a while. And from what I found out from the stores I called, they can't keep the liquid in the shelves becuase it's selling out so fast. Maybe I'm just in a high use formula area, but I imagine there must be a lot of people in the same predicament.

Thanks for the offer, Dana. I'm good for now and hopefully this situation will be resolved by the time I run out.

I think we might have a liquid stash from our first appointment from the OB - I'll check tonight if I can remember to see what brand and the exp. date. I'll keep you guys posted cause we won't need it for a while if we do.

thanks Dana, I hope w/the case I just ordered by the end of it they will have new powder out. It nevers hurts though to have more than enough, than not
