If you want a longer mn like Annalise: Josie Elisabeth, Josie Amelia, Josie Eloise, Josie Olivia, Josie Catherine, Josie Seraphina, Josie Madeleine.
I don't like Josie on its own. I think it's a cute NN for Josephine, though.
If it helps, my mom has a baby at her daycare named Josie Renee. She's named after her grandmother.

Lucy was Josephine Estelle up until 35 weeks. I agree with pp, I don't necessarily like Josie on its own, but if you're set on that, it's okay.

Josie Marie is way to rhymey IMHO and doesn't flow well at all, although I like that it's your mn. Josephine Marie nn Josie is alright though.
Not to like...be THAT guy, but Josie doesn't mean anything. That's what Joseph means, and so (by extension) what Josephine means. They peg that meaning on Josie because it's a diminutive, but the name itself means nothing.

and I'm sorry, but this is a public forum and you have to be prepared for answers that aren't always nice once you put yourself out there. We're honest, sometimes brutally so. I don't think that anyone was overly mean to you in this thread, and we gave some pretty good options.

You also might want to think long and hard on the name. If a bunch of Internet strangers can make you this upset about it, it's going to hurt a lot more if your child is made fun of for her name.
If you love the name, use it. Nobody can keep you from using the name. But as a parent, you SHOULD be prepared for the way other people will react to it. And you SHOULD know the ways the name can become an insult. And you should never expect everyone to like it.
haha, we still love the name, will name her that AND believe in the meaning. regardless of what i've read. nothing anyone here says will change anything!!!

Okay, crazy. Ease up on the punctuation, there. I just thought that since the meaning was important to you, that you might want to know the truth about using a diminutive. Josephine has the meaning you want. You should use it and Josie as a NN if meaning is important to you.
Just sayin'.
