Where did you get/are planning to get your baby book for your adopted child? I bought a regular one and I hate it! It doesn't have all the details I want to include for adoption vs. giving birth.
I heard you can get some good ones online - or have one made (some people who scrapbook do their own, etc.). Right now I am just using one of the calendars that track weight, age, milestones such as rolling over, first tooth, etc. and will add color commentary later.
I'm a big scrapbooker and was concerned b/c I never really saw many products geared towards adoption. I found this link and will most likley use this set:
is a FANTASTIC book - and you can find it at most bookstores. What is nice is that it is like a traditional baby book but basically chronicles your first year with your child. I looked high and low, and that's the most like a traditional baby book as I could find.
I 2nd BabySweetPea, I bought this book at Borders Books and love it! It literally includes pages so that you can write in all the details of the journey/adoption through the first birthday. I was thrilled with it because we plan to be very open about the adoption with the baby from day 1 and this gives us a nice book format to give to her when she is older.
I'm planning to do a scrapbook style album so that I can include all of the things that I really want. Are you wanting a way to record mostly pictures or milestones as well? I think that if you want both, you're wise to go with one of the books the others suggested but if it's mostly about photos and your own thoughts, you can find many different template style scrapbook albums that work even for beginners like me

You really do not have to be a scrapbooker to do these ones...just add photos and write in your thoughts, etc.
Good luck:)
