Babies on the Brain

Jack's new bed. lol

Jack has slept with us, or in a Pack n Play, or when he was smaller in a baby basinette, until Saturday when my sister brought us a crib.  I wondered how Jack would handle the transition to a new big bed in his room.

He spent a good part of the first night bouncing up and down on the mattress.  Not crying, not upset, just having a good old time until he finally exhausted himself.

  • Awesome!  We just got baby J his in July, and while he's not jumping, yet, he kicked around in it like a fool until he fell alseep. It was pretty cute.

  • LOL, that's awesome! Well, not the not sleeping part. At least he wasn't upset.

DH and I plan on co-sleeping combined with pack n play until LO is STTN, then they will share a room with DD. Can I ask what size bed you have? We have a queen, and my only concern with co-sleeping is having enough room in a bed that size.

Cosleeping saved our sanity - I love it.  We have a queen bed, and honestly some nights it isn't big enough and my H goes to the guest room.  Mostly it is just fine though.

This is good to hear. I coslept with DD in a double, but I have been a little concerned about two adults and a wiggly baby in a queen. We could probably fit a King in our room, but I'd hate to lose the floor space, and it would mean no Pack n Play in the room. Unless we got rid of the eliptical machine.
