Pumpkin Patch (not from MI, don't know Cider Mills)

Hey all!  I'm not from MI so maybe I just don't understand so please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but are there any places near Detroit where you can pick your own pumpkins, do a hayride and other fall kid activities?  We'll be visiting and would love to take our kids to one with their grandma but my husband is ZERO help in finding one!

Do the Cider Mills I see people talking about on this board have that type of stuff or do you just buy cider and donuts (which sounds delicious!)?

    Some do and some do not. What area will you be in and I can give you a few around there.

    Blake's Big Apple Farm has pick your own pumpkin, hay rides, a petting farm, haunted house, store, cider & donuts.  It's a lot of fun.

    Our favorite Cider Mill is Erwin's in South Lyon (right off 96......)
     
    They have awesome cider and doughnuts, hayrides for apple and pumpkin picking, a small petting farm, a bounce house, trykes to ride on and usually a face painter! You will want to get there early though if going on the weekend!

    I don't know where exactly you are going to be, but Wiard's Orchards in Ypsilanti has all of that stuff at their country fair during the day on Saturdays and Sundays.
