Major husband brag (PIP - nursery related)

My daughter is getting a new crib/toddler bed when DS is born and he is going to get her furniture. We got her new crib from PBK and I really liked the Pottery Barn Madison wall unit (but not the $1400 (plus $175 shipping) price tag) so I showed it to my husband. Well, $200 in wood and $40 in paint later he made one for me (in better quality I might add).

I think he did pretty darn good!

Of course!

But is it bad that I am not looking through my Land of Nod and PBK catalogues looking for new things to "order" from him? He enjoys doing it and the contemporary style is pretty easy to replicate.

That is beautiful! When I was pregnant with our first my husband hand made a beautiful crib. It is the most sturdy, well made piece of furniture we own! I love that all of our kids have slept in a crib that their Daddy made.

Wow thats awesome!!! Looks soo great!!! I'm definitely jealous!! My DH is the opposite of being handy! Even just to put LO's crib together I had to get my dad to help to make sure that it was put together properly (told DH that it would make "grumpa" feel special to help so that I didn't hurt his feelings lol.. )
