Joe is in severe back pain. He went to the doctor on Monday and recieved some anti-immflamtory drugs and muscle relaxers. It's not getting any better. The pain is in his upper back.
The muscle relaxers are too strong for him and make him really loopy. He can't use them for work.
Anyway, he was thinking about trying a chiropractor. It's covered under our insurance so he thought it might help.
So, I need a recommendation on who he should see in NKY. Would prefer someone in Boone or Kenton county.
Also, do you think a chiropractor will help or should he go back to the doctor for futher testing?
Re: NKY Chiropractor recs...
I think a chiropractor might help. I get pretty bad migraines from when I was pushed into a pool 10 years ago and my head and neck hit the concrete shifting my cervical vertebrae out of alignment. I go 1-2 per month to get adjusted and it really lessens the amount of migraines that I get.
I see Dr. Hogue from Hogue Chiropractic. He's in Edgewood off Barnwood Drive off of Turkeyfoot. When I started seeing him several years ago he did a full back xray to determine areas that may need adjusting.
I am completely against chiropractors. I would definately call the doctor on monday.
From my experience, it seems once you see a chiropractor, things get worse, and you have to keep going back (and could aggervate the condition). Its an endless cycle vs with a medical doctor that take care of the problem.
