LOVE IT!
I have the snap 'n go stroller but Em HATES being confined in her car seat, unless she is in the car where she sleeps. So I decided to purchase the uppababy due to the fact that it has the open bassinet, which she LOVES, the toddler seat is amazing, and we can add the rumbleseat for the 2nd baby down the road.
The convenience of the bassinet for breastfeeding when we are out is awesome too! I don't have to unclip her and then clip her back in, it is a major PITA because she starts fussing and crying. We will use the snap 'n go for short trips to the store and such.
The all terrain wheels are amazing too! We go hiking a lot and are very active so that feature is a huge plus.
Anyone else LOVE there uppababy? I totally think it was worth the money, especially for my LO who loves the wide open space LOL
Re: Uppababy...
i wont buy an umbrella just because i feel like its just one more thing i have to lug around-plus i love the uppa to much to cheat on it! the car seat attachement is such a great idea. i want to buy hooks and a cup holder for it.The only time i dont use it is if im going to wear him out.
Lurking from 3rd tri with a question:
What color did you guys get? I orginally wanted the black one but people kept talking about how the stroller gets really hot. We then were going to get the silver but I think I still want the black. The rep from Buy Buy Baby told me they really don't get that hot because of the fabric and that black strollers in general are there top sellers in that store which is in South Florida. If any one you got the black one have you noticed it gets really hot?
I bought the UPPA BABY in 2007 before anyone knew what they were. I was going to get a Bugaboo like everyone else but when I saw it in the store, I couldn't understand why anyone would choose a Bugaboo over the Uppa Baby - the basket is bigger, it has the same bassinet, wheels, etc. and you can fold it with the seat in it.
Everyone would stop me and ask me what it was. Now I see them all over the city! Both my kids used the bassinet as their crib until they outgrew it (Allison is still in it now).
After 3 years of using it daily, the only thing that I have a problem with are the wheels- I wore them out and need to replace them. Other than that, it's in great shape. I had to get a double stroller because my stroller is so old, I can't add a rumbleseat. I would have had to buy a new frame or have it retrofitted - which costs a ton - about half the price of a new stroller.
I got the Carlin Green but it's different than the newer green. I don't know why they changed it - I like the green I have. I don't like the new green at all.
By the way, about the umbrella stroller...I didn't want one either but you will find yourself needing one at some point. The Uppa Baby is too big for the subway, too big and cumbersome for taxis and if you're going to the a museum, kids theater, restaurant or other place, you won't want to leave your Uppa Baby out of eye contact while you are inside (and some places the bigger stroller won't fit). The umbrella stroller is perfect for those kinds of things. I didn't want to get one either- I finally gave in!

We love the UppaBaby too. DS was only so so about the bassinet. I think he got hot in it. Now that he has some head control, he likes the stroller seat where he can look around. The bassinet is great for travel since we can use it for a place to change him or just put him down.
It is a bit wide and I think we will need an umbrella stroller for the reasons mentioned above. Regardless, we love the Uppa and it has been totally worth the money.
