Going to 2nd devel. dr- need opinion

I just got an appointment for a 2nd developmental dr for my DD. I wasnt satisfied with treatment from the 1st one (we last saw him in May). Question...do I tell the new dr I've been to another one? I'm copying all my DD's records from specialists and am not sure whether to include his report. Thank you

I was looking forward to hearing what others said about this, but no one has said anything, so I guess I'll jump first!
I've had good and bad experiences doing it both ways. In one case I felt like since I'd told the second opinion about the first, he felt like his roll was to either agree or disagree and not to make his own opinion. With him I wished that I'd not mentioned the other guy, because I would have rathered get HIS opinion. I think some people are afraid to disagree with what another doctor has said. I'm pretty diligent with getting DD into very well-respected doctors, but that doesn't mean that I love all of them and what they think about DD. You're going to be hard pressed to find a doctor who will blatantly disagree with some on on the "top doctors" list. And in our case they have always asked who it was.
On the flip side, we had an experience with genetics, where nobody was helping us get to the bottom of things and everybody wanted to "wait and see", but GI was pushing for surgeries unless we could explain DDs weight with a diagnosis. I found an amazing geneticist, explained to him what was going on, and we had a diagnosis that day! And a very understandable one at that. Not just congured up for the sake of finding one. But I think he worked extra hard to find it knowing what was at stake.
Maybe in hind sight with the people who asked all the questions about the first person's opinion and who they were, I would have been better off to politely say, "I brought the results from X, Y, and Z labs and imagery, however I'd really like to know what your first impression is without discussing what the other doctor thought. "
Is your 2nd appt soon? I'm impressed. I called in April and we can't get into the Dev't Ped until Feb!!!
