As an aside, I was on the kidswithfoodallergies boards yesterday and noticed one for moms that have kids that have multiple allergies like the ones you listed.
Aw Jenna, I don't know if your poor heart can take much more. I can't imagine what on earth that poor baby is supposed to eat! What sucky news! Sending you giant hugs.
As of today, I am done breastfeeding. I have eaten oat and rice EVERY single day for the past 5 months. I can't do this diet anymore. She started a prescription formula this week and today was the first day I didn't mix my milk in with it. I have so many emotions flowing through me right now.

Oh wow. I'm so sorry. I had no idea someone could be allergic to meat. Do you know yet whether your insurance will cover the formula? It seems like it would be a no-brainer, but we all know how insurance can work sometimes.
So sorry! I can't imagine how hard this is for you and your family. You're a very good parent for doing what you have been doing for so long.
6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM

9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.

God love ya, Jenna. I can't even imagine how difficult this must be for all of you!
I went to high school with a girl whose son is pretty much allergic to everything under the sun. I'm sure she'd be happy to offer you some support if you'd like me to put you in touch with her. Just let me know!

Oh my goodness, I"m so sorry you are dealing with this, and having to part with your pup on top of it! I really hope she grows out of at least some of this. I also hope you are able to get the formula covered, that is crazy expensive! Have you found any support from other parents through your allergist?
4. We are DEFINITELY doing something fun next week to cheer you up! Yes, please.
5. Have you been able to find any leads on a loving home for your dog? - We thought we had one, but she backed out yesterday. Back to the drawing board.

Yea, the pup is seriously like a child to us. I am sure we will both be bawling like babies for a while. We were in denial about it for so long, but now we HAVE to do it.
I have not found any support from other parents, but that is a good question to ask the allergist at our next appointment in 2 weeks.
I really hope she grows out of most of this. I can't imagine how she will live her life. I am sure there are more allergens out there for her. We didn't test everything!

Unbelievable! Poor baby. I am so sorry you are going through this, but I think you deserve a gold medal for pumping while eating essentially nothing tasty for months and months. I really hope she outgrows these.

Oh my!! That is awful; I feel terrible for you and poor Katelyn! I hope that you are able to get help through insurance for her formula, and a huge kudos to you for being so flexible and such a hard-working BFing Mom through all of it! Also, I am thinking of your family and praying that your dog finds a new loving home. How sad. I hope Katelyn grows out of these allergies as she gets older. Big HUGS!
I can't even begin to understand what you guys are going through but I want to send lots of HUGS to you, your DH and your DD. It does not sound like a fun situation and I hope she can outgrow some of the allergies. My heart goes out to you about your dog too ... that is definitely not an easy decision. Hugs ... hugs ... hugs ...
Oh hon, I am so so sorry. If there's anything I can do let me know. I wish I knew someone who could take the pup. I want in on the fun something next week too, ok?
I just want to add I"m really sorry you are going through this. I'm sure you are having a lot of emotions right now and are fearful of what else is out there that she is allergic too. Best wishes.
Oh Jenna, I am so sorry! I cant imagine what you are going through right now and how tough this must be--- you have been so strong through all of this and I am amazed at the grace you have shown in this difficult experience. I'll definitely be sending T&P your way. What kind of dog do you have? I will keep an ear out about people who might be able to help.
I'm so sorry you are having to go through this!! HUGE kudos to you for sticking with bfing so long. I hope the new formula helps Katelyn. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family!!

poor little thing and poor mommy too! i am guessing she is allergic to the meat bc those animals eat things that she is allergic to? do they think she will outgrow these allergies? i wish i had some ideas to help.
So sorry to hear about this for your daughter and family. I hope you will be able to find a home for your pup, but if not, this is a great no-kill shelter. You can then be assured that your pup will go to a good home. Let me know if you have any questions about the facility.

1. You are an amazing mother. Do not ever forget or doubt that for a second.
2. I can't even begin to wrap my brain around this list, so I can't imagine what you (and your DH) must be going through.
3. Insurance absolutely HAS TO cover this. If they don't, I'M going to go BSC for you.

Ditto all of this, and if I think of any leads for your pup, I will pass them on.
