Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Should I post the link? FF carseat

A friend of mine on FB has a baby who is 10 1/2 months old (lives in FL), and I just saw a picture of her showing off her DS in his new Britax car seat.  It's FF'in in the car.  Should I send out a generic "Hey, Moms!!  Just watched this youtube video, and wanted to make sure that everyone saw this!"  Or, should I just send it to her?

  • I'd just message (or call) her flat out.  Something like that is too dangerous to mess around with, IMO.

  • I would send her a facebook message reminding her that it's the law that babies be RF until at least a year old.

  • Id send it to her, just to make sure she sees it.  Then she is just an idiot(read breaking the law) if she keeps it FF

  • I had a very similar thing happen with my FB friend, I sent her a message about RF, that first of all it's the law until 1 year and that she really should do it well past the year mark.  She never said anything and I live across the country so I don't know if she turned him around but I am glad I said something.

She may think having him in an expensive car seat is enough so I would say send her a message with the link.  It' surprising how many people don't do car seat research.  If you randomly post it she may not see it and if she does she make be offended that you did just takl to her about it.

  • I have a friend who is a ding dong when it comes to carseats. I never knew how to approach it so I let it slide. I suppose it's wrong to not say anything.
  • I have a friend who is also a ding dong when it comes to car seats.  She never has the kids strapped in tight!  Whats the point of having one if your not strapping it tight?
