You also don't really need a theme for the nursery. You could pick a couple of colors that you like and then do some winnie the pooh and some velveteen rabbit. I definitely like looser themes, if you use a theme (ex: vintage children's books rather than one specific book).
But, I think it only matters that you like it (you are the one who will be in there at 3am!).
velveteen rabbit is a super sweet book to include in the room, I think.
I always thought I'd have a classic pooh nursery until I was KU. I do have two canvas prints on the wall with classic pooh, but that's it. I found a gender neutral bedding set that I liked much better and that's what we went with.
It's your nursery, decorate it however you want.

ITA agree with all PP's. And Velveteen Rabbit sounds so sweet!
You can never go wrong with a classic.
And StarAnnice, every time I see your siggy I think of my DS who is Liam Michael and exactly 5 mo younger!
Nursed without dairy, egg, soy, peanut, treenut, fish, shellfish or beef for over a year.
Currently tandem nursing dairy, egg, and shellfish free.
DS born via emergency c/s after 20 hrs of labor. DD successful VBAC!
I don't like the pale (washed-out) colors of the vintage pooh, and honestly I really don't like Pooh himself. But, DH is a HUGE Tigger fan, and I'm a HUGE Eeyore fan, so a lot of those 2 will factor in to my decor.
