Os iz such a chub I think trying to get himself up on all fours is tiring. I know he'll eventually get it, but was curious if other big ones were having the same issues?
It took DD a while to crawl and she still doesn't do it very often. I would say that the first time she really crawled more than just a few steps was just a couple of weeks ago, but like I said, she doesn't do it very often.

Jessie Rose was born on 01/26/10 at 37wks, she weighed 7.9lbs and was 19" long!
He's been on all 4's for a month, he rocks back and forth and now gets a foot down, kind of stuck underneath.......but no forward motion:) He does slide backwards and in circles on his belly:) I'm in no rush, once their mobile it's a whole new game!

My guy is a little older than yours (10 months), so yes, he's crawling, but he never did quite get the hang of getting his belly up off the floor. He is pretty fast at "army" crawling, but it seems like it was more work for him to get on his knees to crawl.
He started pulling up about 3 weeks ago. This was a big challenge for him--and very frustrating for him, too. It did take him longer to pull up than my first son (who was average-sized) and I think it will take him longer to walk, too.
Yes, it is more work for the "big guys" to get their bods moving, but they'll develop the upper body strength to make it happen, I promise!
My big lil' guy isn't really attempting yet. It seems like he just has too much chunk between his thighs and belly to get himself up. Same with the rolling... a pro at getting on his side, but the belly is in the way from there. He's been a champ at sitting up for a while now though!
