2nd Trimester

Brazilian Bikini Waxes

Who gets them?  How far along were you when you last had one?   I can't live without them (I keep a landing strip if you must know) and haven't had one since I was 8 weeks, (i.e. not showing, not fat, more mobile).

I am asking if... any area is going to be "more sensitive than usual" if you get my drift, and if you had any trouble holding your legs up for the technician with your big belly in the way.

Thank you... my husband appreciates your input

Re: Brazilian Bikini Waxes

  • "Down there" is DEFINETLY more sensitive when your pregnant, because of all the extra blood flow. As far as holding up your leg there is other ways your esthetician can get to that area, I know a lot of women that get waxed at 9 months..you'll be fine :)

  • I do my own waxing and I really don't notice a pain difference. Maybe I'm just different from everyone else. Most people on here have said that they are more sensitive.  I think once I can't see my bits anymore I will have to either let it go or find a technician to do it.

  • Okay so it was really sensitive when I had it done last month, but I had waited 3 months since my last time in there so everything had grown back in full force. I went in yesterday and it wasn't any different than before being pregnant. I'm keeping up with it, and planning ahead to have my last one a couple of weeks before my due date just in case. The lady I go to isn't worried about my belly interfering at all. I say if you're used to it, just keep it up.

    Good to know... Thanks.

Thanks for all the replies.  Oh I'm definitely going right before my due date... the thought of all that hair and a room full of people... the horror.  No offense to you hairy non waxers.

  • I have been going monthly since if got my BFP. I haven't had any problems. I went last week and I was 17 weeks. It didn't feel any different than usual but I do recommend taking a Tylenol before going. Oh, I think to make the pain more tolerable, you really can't wait. You need to go frequently (every 3-5 weeks).

  • I have been getting brazilian waxes for a few years now.  My first wax post BFP I felt really sensitive but now they don't seem much diferent then pre-pregnancy.  I plan to go until I am very near my due date.  I hate having any extra hair beyond the landing strip and have been know to shave between waxes.  My gal hasn't had any trouble so far even with my belly.
