I am seriously going to convert my girls cribs within the next few days to the toddler bed. Any and all suggestions to make it as smooth as possible will be much appreciated....TIA
DS just got a new pillow with a racecar on it, as he is currently obsessed with them, and it made him happier to climb into his bed and lay down.
also, just to follow a routine so they know what is expected (ie: bath, jammies, brush teeth, read a book, sing a song, tuck them in)
DS took about a week or two of one of us laying in his room while he tried to sleep and that helped. he would beg "mommy close eyes too" but he's ok without us for the most part now.
We just did it one day and it worked out just fine. It took him a while to fall asleep but we had just gotten rid of the nuk too so that may have played a part in it. One mistake we made was getting bedding with cars and trucks on it and all we heard for a good hour was, "Cars, Dumper truck, truck, fast car, dumper truck..."
