I think almost everyone has posted Facebook names at one point or another, so this is not meant to call-out or attack any one person or any group of people. This came in conversation between myself and a couple other members of the board and that's why I'm posting.
Would anyone else be in favor of condensing FB names to one post each day? A lot of us view this board in order of "most recent reply" and sometimes that means the entire top of the board is filled with numerous individual threads, all filled with FB names.
I like to admire the horrors of FB, too, but I sometimes get really frustrated with the number of posts. I was thinking we could start a new thread each morning along the lines of "Post Your Facebook Names Here" and everyone can add their names to the list--I actually think reading them that way might be more fun, too: ) And that way, as everyone replies throughout the day, whether adding or commenting, that thread will stay near the top, but there wont be six or seven others along with it.
What do you think?
Re: Regarding Facebook Names
I don't use the "most recent reply" view, but I'm still in favor of it. There are always tons of FB posts on the first page regardless.
I just hope it works!

If the bump had a "like" feature I would hit it.
I agree....great idea!
I think it needs to be added to the sticky note. And I would also like to point out that newbies shouldn't get jumped all over if they post something. I'm not sure what kind of response...but I don't want to be one of 'those boards' if you know what I mean.

Yeah, I completely agree. There are going to be a few stray posts no matter what, but hopefully, the title will catch everyone's attention.

I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

Yes, I was thinking this too!
Great ideas! I think a daily "gawker thread" would do, to encompass the FB/relative/hospital/etc. names.
I enjoy hearing out-there names as much as the next person, but it seems like so many of them can be chalked up to urban legends, lame spellings, and names people aren't that familiar with culturally. When every fourth post is "OMG, you wouldn't believe this name!" it does get a little old.
I think everybody has their own style about what things they reply to or click on, though.
Great idea!
Perhaps we could also have a sticky note for La-a revelations.

Keilah Kaye Lastname...w.t.f?????
I'm assuming it's pronounced Kayla, but I don't know. In other news, I went to my niece's school music concert last night and I wish I would've kept the program because it had some doozies on there...::headdesk::
What's ::head desk:: is how you even found this 6 month old post. Today's Facebook horror post is right up (or down, depending on how you're sorted) there.
