I hate it when people say/type "I'm just sayin..." if they're not southern.  I'm not sure why it kills me but it's a very southern thing to say and it seems to have gotten popular recently.  I have lived in the south for a very long time and I would never say it because I don't really have a southern accent.  I think only people raised in the south and with a southern accent should be able to say it.  And yes, I know that it is completely ridiculous that that bothers me enough to do a FFFC about it Embarrassed

    I'm fron NY and I hear that a lot.  I didn't think it was a southern thing.  It's just a verbal tic, like really, or seriously.

    True. I'm from WA and I'm guilty of saying it, and I also hear it fairly often too.

    Hmmmm.  Interesting.  I had never heard it until I moved to the south (I lived in OH and CA before) and very much associated it with being southern.  I hear very southern women say "Well, I'm just sayin is all."  I love the way it sounds with a southern accent :)

    YAY!!! I can say it!

    But I have also been turned down for a job because of my southern accent. The guy told me that he was afraid people would think his company was run by "dumb rednecks" if I answered his calls. Yeah I gave him a piece of my mind and slammed the door in his face.

    Born and raised in Massachusetts and that phrase is said a lot around here.  Always has been.  LOL!

    LOL.  I have to admit it bugs me when ANYONE says y'all.  Goes right up my back, can't stand it.  ahahaahha!

    I don't think it's a southern thing. I've heard it all over. I grew up in the midwest, lived in WA, FL and now MO. I hear it all the time. I say it too.
