Ovulation Calender Work?

I have a question for u mommies.

After thinking that we were pregnant it turns out i wasnt so now we want to start trying to make it happen.

Yesterday i was looking online at the ovulation calenders but i dont know how it works.

Oh and the Shuttles Method is that really true on how to determine how to have a boy or a girl. cause i want a girl! LOL!

    If you want to start trying, I recommend reading Taking Charge of your Fertility. It'll explain charting to you and increase your chances of getting pregnant faster. There is NO sure fire way of determining boy/girl, however female sperm tend to live longer than male sperm, so if you have sex closer to your ovulation date you may have a higher chance of a boy. Whereas, if you have sex a day or two before your ovulation date you may have a higher chance of having a girl. This process is also explained in the book. Try not to dwell on gender, though - what matters is a happy, healthy baby :D

    I used Clear Blue Easy Digital OPK's...did the trick 1st month trying :-)  Good luck!

    The Ovulation Calander assumes you have a regular 28 day cycle. Like Tess said, read Taking Charge of your Fertility and chart if you want an accurate ovulation day. OPK's can work well too.
