Going to my Cousin's dd'd 8th birthday on Saturday (yes my cousin scheduled it on OU gameday but she has assured me there will be a tv that her husband will be watching the game on). She said DD is into anything girlie or a cute UT t-shirt.I went to the coop and damn a little girl's tshirt is 25 bucks. I would buy it but then i feel like it will look like a "cheap" gift because it's just a t-shirt? YKWIM? Any ideas? My cousin is a stay at home mom that buys her girls really cute stuff all the time, knows all the cute boutiques so I'm lost for a gift. Any idea?
Re: Gift for an 8yr old girl? Ideas?
I went with jewelry for my 9 yo cousin. I got her a bracelet from Hannah Ds & then a couple of packages of Silly Bandz (or however the kids spell it).
Hobby Lobby is having a 50% off sale on most of their beading supplies. You could take that same $25 and get a TON of beads, charms, bead wire, fasteners, and even a little storage container for all of it, and she could make her own necklaces and bracelets. Most girls love to do stuff like that, and I'm sure her mom would appreciate something that keeps her occupied.
HL and JoAnn also have some neat crafty toy sets like make your own lipgloss that she might enjoy.
A gift card to someplace like Claire's would probably be appreciated by a girl her age.
