Anyone have sprint? Obviously NBR

How do you feel about it?  I have verizon, but pay a sh!t ton for my plan and don't have a data plan.  Sprint seems to be cheaper, but how is their service?

  • I love it. It's cheap and dependable. I also love my phone.

  • What phone do you have?  My husband has an iphone, but he got it free through work.  There's no way I'm paying for one, but I love all the things he can do with it.

  • I have an HTC hero, which runs on the Android OS. It has a lot of the same capabilities as an iPhone, and you can get many of the same apps. I had an iPhone before, and I honestly like my HTC more. I think it only cost me 100 bucks. It may be cheaper now.
  • Sprint is pretty good. Don't get service at my cottage, and there are a couple areas where I get a dead zone, but otherwise they are good. I have the HTC touch pro, but will be upgrading to the Samsung Epic. It is expensive, but looks like a great phone!
  • We've been with Sprint for years and we don't love it. Coverage is spotty, we don't get good reception in our house. They have us by the short hairs because my husband has a technology addiction and has to get a new phone every 3 weeks it seems so we're always in the middle of a contract that it would cost us a bajillion dollars to get out of. We do both like our phones though. I have the Palm Pre and he has the HTC Evo.
  • Coverage isn't AS good as verizon (we just switched a few months back) but no real problems. We went from x number of minutes and texts (neither unlimited) to unlimited minutes, texts, internet, gps...the whole deal...and we're only spending about $10 more per month. (for 2 phones)

ETA: I have the moment, DH has a newer blackberry, I don't remember what it's called

  • I had Verizon for years and loved it. We recently dropped my Verizon & added me to DH's Sprint plan. IT SUCKS! Dropped calls all the time. We've got Blackberries and won't get emails for hours! We are looking at switching to AT&T so we can get iphones.
  • DH loves sprint.  He has no plans of ever switching.  We used to be on Verizon but that was long ago before smartphones were out.  We were excited when they started carrying clamshells.  I did have a phone through Verizon that my office paid for and the service was great but not any better than sprint.  And when I saw the bill each month, I was glad I wasn't having to pay for it.  Ha.  Also, it wouldn't hurt to look into if Sprint offers you a discount based on where you work.  DH works for a huge company here in the area and he gets a discount for that.
