Just had this sent to me by a friend who bought me an infant sleep positioner. She said I may now want to return it. Figured I'd share since its a bit scary.
I had one and never used it. Well, we used it when she was awake to recline her. I think babies with acid reflux use them, or a book under the mattress...
They don't really go anywhere in the beginning, so I am not really sure how I thought I would position her with it.

My son have severe reflux and a few other things that caused him to vomit ... ALL the time. We put a wedge under his bed up and put him in a postioner so that he could not choke on any of the spit up or vomit. once he was able to really move and roll around we took both out. He would just roll out of it and down to the end of the bed to get away from it all.
For us it worked and we never thought twice about it, if I had to do it again I would do the same thing. I do not put the bumpers in until they are older though, that I do agree with. Once I see a limb hanging out of the crib its time for the bumper to be installed
