My DH is out of town with my FIL and BIL until Saturday so my MIL invited me and SIL over for dinner tonight. My SIL is pg with twins (yes the smoking drinking SIL) anyways I wasn't too excited about going, but I did. At first it was bad. My other SIL was there and they were oodling over the u/s pictures of the twins and talking about her pg. I just pre occupied myself by looking at a magazine but still listening.I think they finally got all the questions and stories out so it eventually stopped.. It hurts.

I think i made a step tonight because i actually got the nerve to play with my neice for a bit.. ugh..why does this suck so much.

I am so sorry. I can't take ultrasound pictures. I accidentally watched a rerun of The Office where they were showing the pics and I had to turn it off. I associate them with finding out.

I cannot imagine how hard it would be to see them gushing and know that she is hurting her baby when you would have taken good care of yours. It's not fair. ((((hugs))))

I am new here so I haven't read any other posts about this...is your SIL really drinking and smoking while she is carrying two babies???

The story in a nutshell... The day I told SIL about my 2nd m/c she told me shortly after that she thought she was pg and asked if she could use one of my Sticks to pee on. Then when it came back positive she went outside finished her beer and smoked the rest of the night claiming she was "celebrating" - yes shes still smoking.. the drinking seems to have subsided though.

I think you had two big steps tonight - first of all going to dinner knowing your SIL was going to be there. Awesome. And then Yay for playing with your niece. I know how hard that is when you're mourning your loss - My brother has three under the age of 15 months and I saw them shortly after the miscarriage. It was wonderful and painful all at the same time. Hugs to you.
