We really like the name Julia, but are still very open to any girl name ideas. I love engish names (Charlotte, Ava, etc.) but neither of those are options for me. Baby is also due on St. Pats day and our last name is Green. An Irish name would be fun, but nothing as obvious as Pat. Does anyone have any names they like that fit this description?

Re: English/Irish Girl names
LO is named after a town in Ireland (though the town is spelled Adare)
How about Fiona, Bridget, Caitlin, Colleen
Julia is also very pretty.
My husband's family is VERY Irish so we're shooting for Irish names as well. Here's a few of the girl names on our extremely long list

I'm a fan of Colleen and Bridget. I also really like Shannon, even though it's a little dated.
Margaret NN Maggie is way cute for an Irish girl.
If you're adventurous, you might want to consider Siobhan or Aisling.
Siobhan, Fiona, Molly, Margaret (Maggie), Mary, Moira, Nora
I love Irish and English names as well. If you don't like any of the ones we have mentioned you could go to www.nymbler.com. It will give you names that are similar to ones you like.

Collete (I believe is English)
Eimear (pronounced E mir)
There are also cute irish translations for English names

Was just going to post this. Easy links to the lists of names are way at the bottom of the page, Frank McCourt even pronounces them for you!
