Baby Bjorn differences...

So there are a ton of them. And I totally don't know anything about them except that one is more breathable and one has more back support. But if any of you have used them and prefer one over the other, any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Re: Baby Bjorn differences...

  • the baby bjorn was my favorite carrier in the beginning because it was so easy! i have the ergo and moby, couldn't figure out the moby at first and the ergo is great but i didn't have the infant insert.

I ended up running to babies r us one desperate afternoon and grabbed the cheapest baby bjorn they had. it didn't have the back support. Oh how i missed the back support..... i only used it for 3 month the back support is key.

  • Bjorns suck.  They're not the best for the baby, and are really uncomfortable for the wearer.  Usually people have to stop using them by the time their LO reaches 15lbs.  I say invest in a carrier that will last way long, like an Ergo or Beco.  They're better for the baby (they sit on their bums instead of dangling from their crotch) and are really comfortable for the wearer.  HTH!

I have heard this, too! I heard that they can hurt the baby bc they basically suspend LO from the crotch area, too. We got an Ergo organic and a Dr. Sears Baby Balboa sling. So we'll see which is best when she gets here!

  • hated my bjorn, and I had the one with the back support.  I didnt like how much pressure it put on my daughters legs.

  • I used the Moby for the first 5 months.  I am getting a Beco Butterfly II in the next month or so.  Go over to the AP bored, they are pros.
