really glad we have insurance. we got one statement today for "room and board" and "inpatient services" for over $10,000. crazy!

    my ob bill came in. i was charged $400. he billed $4K to the ins co

    My DH was in the hospital a couple months ago and we got the bills - he was there for 24 hours and it was almost $40,000.  So glad for insurance.

    Hospital bills are insane!!! I love the room and board part--like it's a fancy hotel or something. My mom saved my hospital bill from 1976 and I think the total was around $500 for everything-- which was for a longer stay back then. Crazy!!

    Ugg. I'm really glad I have almost met my out of pocket for the year (granted it was 3k so that sucks, but whatever) so I shouldn't have to pay a penny for the hospital/birth stuff. I do worry that my craptastic insurance will try and pull a fast one on me, though.

    How are you doing otherwise, CJ? Adjusting to motherhood? :)?

    Ditto nellieboo...my mom kept her hospital bills too from my sister and I, and we get a kick out of them.  We were both c-sections, and I think my bill was a whopping $800 or so.

    I kept DD's in her scrapbook and I'll do the same for this baby!
