do you choose your wardrobe carefully because of it, or do you wear what you want and make it work?
Im a teacher and I'll only be able to pump at lunch and during 7th hour. A lot of the tops that I typically wear to work will have to be taken off so that I could pump. I'm now thinking that a tank and a cardigan will be my daily wear so that I can pump easily.
What do you wear? What do you find is the easiest?
Re: If you pump at work... (wardrobe question)
It doesn't make a difference for me. I have a hands-free and a private pumping room. I just lift up my shirt, put on the bra, and go for it.
It doesn't matter what I wear.
I thought this was going to be a bigger deal to me because during my maternity leave, if I had to feed my baby in the car or somewhere not in our comfy rocker, it was a huge PITA to not just have a nursing tank on. (I'm large-busted and it is not comfortable to lift a bra off over my boobs and then wrangle it back on them - I have to unhook, etc.)
Anyway, I just whip off my shirt and bra at work and pump topless. I have my own private office with a locking door, so that makes it feel a bit more comfortable (although it still feels funny!) During my first few weeks back at work, I wore nursing tanks and cardigans so that I would feel comfortable and ease the transition. Now that I have the hang of it, it truly doesn't seem to matter and it's nice to wear a regular underwire bra again!
The main snafoo I have run into was when I wore a cream colored pair of pants last week. When I am finished and taking off the breast shields, I tend to drip. I guess I had always worn dark colored pants or skirts until this day, and not noticed. When the milk dripped on to my cream colored pants, it stained and showed darker spots (which I rinsed out with soap and water, but I walked around the office with big wet splotches on my pants for an hour or so). I would throw a dishcloth or something in your bag to put on your lap so you don't have the same situation!

This. Plus in winter I liked to wear nursing tanks under most things because it was too cold to be completely exposed.
This is me as well. I own about 10 nursing tanks, and I prefer them over bra--maybe because I haven't found one that I like.
Me three- I love my nursing tanks so much more than a nursing bra. I just wear my regular shirts with a tank underneath, and lift them up when I pump. Easy peasy. (I am fairly small-boobed though, not sure if going braless would work as well for someone bustier than I)
