Allura. I would think alure-a (like the magazine with an a at the end) but do you think they are going for Alora? A-lore-a....a friend just announced that as the name for their baby girl due in a few weeks.

I'd pronounce it Al-oo-rah. NMS. Sounds like expensive skin cream or a Botox/Restilyn(sp?) product.

What ever happened to normal names? IMO that is as bad as naming a baby Shithead but telling people it is promounced Shi theed. No I am not kidding.

I'd definitely pronounce it with an "oo" sound. I am unaware of any word in the English language in which the letter U, by itself, is pronounced "oh."

My friend named her girl Ellora e-lor-ah. She said it was a princess in a cheesy 80's movie. missed that one. Cute name and girl though!
