I dont know if I belong here but.......

Back in may DD2 was Dx with seizures. I have been on the bump for so long and it took me until now to even get back on here because well I just did not know what to do with my self and also because its taken this long to get them undercontrol! I just dont really have anyone to talk to about this and well at first everyone thought I was full of it until I proved everyone wrong that there was something wrong with DD2. So off my little soap box and wanted to say Hi to everyone!

Seizures are scary. The word is scary. Watching your child constantly for them is scary...There are many mamas here who know what you are going through. Which meds is your child on? If you want to talk about it, go ahead and do it here. I've had so much help from this board! Welcome.

MyDS #2 had seizures starting 6 hours after birth.  He has not had any since his first week of life but he is on keppra and phenobarb (which they are weaning him off of).  He also has other brain issues, but I understand how scary seizures are.  I saw him have one in the NICU and me, my sister, his primary nurse, and eventually his neonatologist were all crying.  It was horrible to see.

I understand about avoiding the bump.  I used to post and lurk all the time on my "regular" pregnancy and toddler boards and now I can hardly look at other boards with the "typical" babies.  It hurts a lot to see what I don't have.

Hang in there.  This board is great - very supportive.
