Okay, so here's the deal. I have been working really really hard on LO's nursery and everything has looked perfect until now. I got a glider rocker second hand and the cushions were old and worn and didn't match the color scheme in the nursery, and like any of you know who have tried to replace the cushions for your own rocker it is very expensive. So I did some research, and decided to get my cushions reupholstered for a fraction of the price. I met with the seamstress last Tuesday and gave her the cushion, fabric and these really cute lady bug buttons that I wanted sewn onto the front of the chair, and she charged me $30. I payed her up front because I wasn't to worried about her trying to run off with $30. She told me that they would be ready next Tuesday, yet she told me the job should only take a few hours to do.

okay, whatever. So I called her yesterday and she says she can't meet me to give me the cushions because one of her kids is sick, so I say well we can just meet tomorrow. I just got off the phone with her and she says now that her grandchild is sick and she is babysitting but her daughter will meet me and bring the cushions, and then she says Oh BTW the lady bug buttons that you wanted sewn on, I didn't put them on because I thought they might irritate your back........This frustrates me because did I not pay you all the money? So why could you not follow simple directions for what I wanted done? When you go get your hair done and you ask the stylist to take it short does she say well.....I think that would make your face look fat and just cut it however she wants? NO. You do what you were asked because it's your job! It's not a huge big deal but it's still frustrating to me that I payed her and now I still have to go behind her work and complete the job myself. Am I wrong to want my nursery to be perfect?GOSH! I know I am not the only one who wants everything to be perfect before LO gets here. Vent over. Thank you for letting me get that off my chest.
Re: Am I being a B*tch?(mini vent) kinda long
I would call her back and tell her to sew the buttons on by tomorrow since its already a day late and you will pick them up then.
You paid her. You need to get what you asked for.
Yeah, if you paid for it, you should get what you paid for.
If she thought it would be a problem, she could have brought it up right away, not wait for you to pay for it, then decide it wasn't practical... I can definitely understand why you're upset about it.
