Infant health or pregnancy loss charities?

So we've decided to give a donation on Sylvie's EDD to an organization focusing on infant health/ pregnancy loss prevention. We're leaning towards March of the Dimes: https://www.marchofdimes.com/home.asp, but I wanted to ask you ladies for any other ideas. Suggestions?

I think that's a wonderful idea!

I know there are some smaller research facilities, usually asscoaited with colleges (such as Duke; my family gave a donation to them in Luke's name), but MOD is probably the biggest and most well known.

The other ones, such as the faces of loss campaign, well, I'm not really sure how they allocate their funds, and whether any of it used to help people not lose pregnancies/babies as opposed to just supporting them after the babies are gone.

wonderful idea! we did this with the monies collected in Evelyn's name while I was on FMLA. You could also look at the NICU/ berevement ward at the hospital you delivered at as well.

OR, if you suffered from something such as preeclampsia, pPROM that has a charity that will donate the money to preventing these things in the future, also another option.

There is a great group that provided us with journals, baby blankets, books on loss, etc. when we were in the hospital - it was called A Walk to Remember. They host a walk every year (10/15) to remember the loss of a child as a result of miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, etc. I Googled it and it looks like they have a couple of different chapters - so maybe there is one in NY?

MOD is a great idea too!
