I posted the other night about a short luteal phase. The last 2 cycles it has been 10 days which is right on the boderline. I don't chart, but I use the CBEFM. I went ahead and called my doctor and told them what was going on and they asked me to come in for an appointment today. After it was all said and done they decided to put me on progesterone 5 days after my LH surge. After 14 days I should take an HPT and give them a call. Has anyone tried this yet and/or planning to do it this cycle? I am just happy to have a plan for this cycle.
Re: Progesterone/short luteal phase
Just curious - did you have a blood test to check your progesterone levels before you were prescribed supplements? I have a similar issue, but chose not to take the progesterone until I have b/w done.
LH surge predicts O, doesn't confirm it.
Just make sure you've definitely O'd before starting the progesterone - otherwise it becomes birthcontrol. (but starting 5 days after surge should be safe)

I didn't have b/w done. They said I could do either way. Just start the progesterone 5 days after my CBEFM detects the surge or come in a few days after that and they would do the b/w and start me on the progesterone then if necessary. She said either method was fine so I chose the 1st option out of convenience so I wouldn't have to get off of work for another appointment.
I agree. She mentioned this, but said 5 days after the surge it would be ok.
