during the summer we typically keep the thermostat at 73 and it's pretty consistent, however now that we're into fall we've turned it off and the house temp has been getting to 69 or 70 most mornings and we often have the ceiling fan on in the bedroom (did this too in summer). My temps have been on the lower side of my range the last few days and I wonder how much it could have to do with the house temp being a few degrees cooler. Trying to be consistent with the house temp this time of year sucks. Just want my chart to be accurate.
Re: how much does change in room temp affect temping?

We're still using AC and the temperature in our room is consistent. One morning my temp was quite a bit lower than it had been and since I was cold I checked the thermostat: DH had lowered it.
However, I think that since you're looking for a trend over time, and the temperature in your room isn't going to change too much, that you'll still be able to notice a definite temperature shift.
