I'm trying to loose weight, and I'm on a 1400cal intake diet per day.
What is the correct fat intake to properly loose weight? I've read percentages of 30-35%, but that means I will have a total 450g of fat allowance. That doesn't seem right to me.
Any suggestions?

Re: How Much Fat Intake?
I tracked my calories on sparkpeople last spring in an effort to lose weight (lost 20lbs!). It had a suggested daily calorie intake of 1490-1850 calories and fat of 39-68 grams.
Having 30% of your calories come from fat is a good goal, but you are doing your math wrong. 30% of 1400 calories = 450 calories from fat (not grams of fat). Each gram of fat is approximately 9 calories, so this would mean a goal of sticking around 50 grams of fat.
If you haven't already it could be worthwhile to check out sparkpeople or dailyplate, enter in your current weight and weight goals and see what it recommends for calories, fat, carbs, etc.
